Coastal Pinot Noir from the Nobles Vineyard. Located near the historic Fort Ross, an early Russian coastal settlement dating from 1812, the vineyard lies on the interior of the second ridge from the Pacific Ocean. Marine sedimentary soils. From historic Calera clone selection. Aromas of pure cherry and redberry fruits. Accents of mineral, cola, forest floor, and sea air integrate around the fruits. Subtle notes of vanilla and warm oak tones support the structure. In the mouth, caressing tannins give a round plushness to the wine. Complex and structured with excellent aging potential. Best late 2020–2027. 439 cases produced.
