Pinot Noir, Nobles Vineyard, Fort Ross-Seaview, 2016
Coastal Pinot Noir from the Nobles Vineyard. Located near the historic Fort Ross, an early Russian coastal settlement dating from 1812, the vineyard lies on the interior of the second ridge from the Pacific Ocean. Marine sedimentary soils. From historic Calera clone selection. In the nose, plush raspberry and morello cherry fruits abound. Accents of cola, fern, and wild mushroom integrate around the fruits. Further notes of vanilla and warm oak tones support the structure. In the mouth, caressing tannins give a round plushness to the wine. Complex and structured with excellent aging potential. 297 cases produced.
