Lucky Well Vineyard is located near the town of Occidental in the southern reaches of the Russian River drainage. Considered by some to be the premier area for Pinot Noir in the area, the vineyard lies on the back side of the coast ridge giving it a sweet spot of just enough exposure to Pacific breezes. From 100% Pommard clone. Deeper than the 2014 with lovely red strawberry and cranberry fruits up front, accented with notes of chanterelle mushroom, forest floor, pine, and spice.
