Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon, 2014
A single vineyard Pinot Noir from Omero Vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA. From the Pommard clone. Dry farming adds to the intensity of the flavors, which are enhanced in the winemaking with all de-stemmed fruit and wholeberry fermentation. Black cherry, red plum, and blackberry fruits with a tone of iron and notes of vanilla. In the mouth, earth notes of fern, sassafras, and black tea. The wine has a solid acid backbone and well-developed tannins. Good concentration and roundness from a slightly warmer than average vintage. Excellent aging potential. 245 cases produced.
