Tasting Notes

Sweetly perfumed with juicy red and black berries, candied plum and cherry fruits. Aromas of brambly earth, vanilla, rich allspice, clove, mineral, and toasty oak compliment the luscious fruit flavors. Moderate tannins and balanced acidity offer a well-structured yet highly approachable blend with good length and generous flavor.

This is the fourth release of TRIOS and the first vintage to be wholly estate grown on the B Wise Vineyards property in Sonoma Valley. The wine is a unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot with additional components of Malbec, Petite Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Our vision of the wine is a Cabernet dominated blend, however in 2005 the Syrah tasted so good we couldn't leave it out! Look for our single vineyard Syrah in 2006. TRIOS is named after our wine bar: Trios Enoteca in Denver, Colorado.
